  • Please rehearse with the rehearsal audio file until you are very sure of your part.
  • You can also listen to and repeat the English, French or German text with the files.

STEP 2: Setup for Recording

  • You will need a recording device (mobile phone or tablet) to record the video and another playback device to listen to the audio file with headphones.
  • Setup your recording device in a room which is silent and well lit. Close all windows and doors to avoid outside noise. Sit such that the strong light source in the room is facing you, and not behind you.
  • Place the recording device on a firm surface and at eye level.
  • Avoid leaving too much empty space above your head.
  • Rotate your recording device such that your video is recorded in landscape mode (horizontally) and NOT portrait mode.
  • Set your recording device’s video settings to record at 1080p at 30fps. (720p at 30fps is also fine).
  • Do a short test recording to ensure that the audio and video is recorded properly.

STEP 3: Recording your video

  • Turn on your recording device first.
  • Then start your playback device with your headphones connected and start singing after the organ prelude
  • Make sure you face the camera at most times, ensuring your face is visible. Stay within the video frame at all times.
  • During the organ recital, continue to look into the camera and wait for your cue.
  • After the final note, continue to look into the camera for at least 10 seconds and then stop recording the video.
  • Make sure your video and audio is recorded properly. In case there are issues, rerecord your part and send us the best version.
